Meeting with local government units at the Forum of Polish Towns

The Forum of Polish Towns is an opportunity for many entities present at the event to establish valuable contacts, acquire interesting and, above all, practical and substantive knowledge.

This year's third edition of the event featured a number of panel discussions, which focused most on energy efficiency, renewable energy sources, available energy storage technologies and the future prospects for the development of energy independence of local government units.

During one of the panels entitled Local energy balancing as a way to energy self-sufficiency of local government units and security of energy supplies for residents of municipalities, under the patronage of Apator, the issue of local energy balancing through the use of energy storage technology was discussed on specific examples. According to experts, industrial energy storage facilities, in addition to the technology of obtaining energy from renewable sources using PV cells and wind farms, will become a complementary link of the country's stable energy system in the near future.

The wide range of possibilities enclosed in a relatively small device that regulates every aspect of the energy produced by distributed and unstable generating sources is an incredible advantage that can lead to increased self-sufficiency of local government units. As a summary, it can be added that according to Apator's on-site survey of current representatives of local government units, more than 90% of respondents are considering the implementation of industrial energy storage and hope to launch a system of co-financing the purchase of such storage by state entities.
